Orignally from Nova Scotia, Jason has been a proud Albertan for 35 years and has lived that whole time in Calgary.

Having first been attrated to computers thanks to his older brother who was living in Germany at the time and was deep into the eely computing gaming world. Upon returning to Canada he gave Jason all his gaming gear including a Commodore 64, with the 5.25 disk drive, approximately 2,000 games, most of them unheard of in North America and a 12 inch monitor that weighed 50 poiunds.

Jason feel in love and quickly began learning everything he could regarding programming, networking and how everything worked.

To everyone's surprise, Jason's first Bachelor degree was in English Literature as his intention was to go into Law but during that first degree he took computer courses and decided to change his course - it was computers or bust and this wonder and desire to understand everything about computers still resides within him today.

A few years after landing in Calgary Jason attended The Southren Alberta Institue of Technology taking an intensive 9-5 daily, year long program focused on networking and programming - he excelled in both areas. After graduating and working for several employers he decided to enrol in the Master of Science program with Athabasca University where he again, excelled and acheived his Master of Science inn Information Systems degree.

Also along the way he picked up several designations including an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) designation and a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation and has put both to effective and extensive use.

Prior to Angry Penguin Solutions Jason held a senior role, Vice President, Information Technology for a personal financial firm where he helped guide the organization from it's infancy to a mature organization in 5 years.
